Senior Quantity Surveyor

Although headquartered in Cambridge, they embrace a flexible, remote working culture, with occasional site visits required.
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor on behalf of our client for a project in Leeds. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of industry experience, particularly in fit-out and refurbishment projects, and a strong background in hotel projects, as well as necessary experience in Design and Build. The successful candidate will have managed at least two projects simultaneously, with values ranging from £1 million to £7 million.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities.
- Conduct feasibility studies and implement cost control measures.
- Manage tender processes and negotiate contracts.
- Monitor and manage project costs to ensure they remain within budget.
- Conduct valuations and prepare progress reports.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and address any issues.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Prepare and present detailed financial reports.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 7+ years of experience within the construction industry, with a focus on fit-out and refurbishment projects.
- Experience and great comprehension of Design and Build projects
- Proven experience in managing hotel projects.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with values ranging from £1 million to £7 million.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, methods, and procedures.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in relevant software and tools (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, MS Office).
