job description

A fantastic opportunity to join a well established Regional contractor based in Wantage has arisen. The successful Regional contractor is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor that has experience running their own projects up to a value of £20million. All projects are located within an hour from the office you will be reporting into the commercial director and managing two Assistant Quantity Surveyors.

The contractor specialises in the following sectors:



* Care
* Leisure
* Commercial
* Education

The ideal candidate will have over 5 years experience in main contracting and live within half hour from Wantage.

Salary up to £70,000

Requirements;



* 5 years+ in main contracting
* A degree in Quantity Surveying is desirable
* Good knowledge of JCT form of contract

Responsibilities;



* Tender pricing and take off
* Commercial management of projects
* Monthly valuation preparation
* Cost control of projects
* Procurement & placement of bespoke material costs
* Relationship building with subcontractors, design team, and suppliers
