My clients Living Northern division are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Commercial Team based within Warrington.

The Client:

The client I am representing is a leading property, residential, construction and services group which builds, maintains and renews the places where we live, work and love. They operate globally across a range of sectors including defence, education, health, housing, industrials, power, transport and utilities.

With offices all other the country they are looking for someone to be based out of there Warrington office but do have a network of 88 UK offices. Employing 22,000 people, with a turnover of over £4bn and an order book of £9.5bn, my client has the financial strength and technical expertise to undertake some of the most significant construction, civil engineering and service contracts in the country


Responsibilities:



* To prepare, submit and agree all final accounts in a timely manner that achieves best value for the company
* Prepare the submission and agreement of any contractual claims as requested
* Take timely and proper action (e.g., notices) in accordance with the contract/sub-contract
* Submit detailed, accurate and timely interim applications for payment
* Check that all sub-contractors are procured to the programme and that agreements are robust in order to achieve best value
* Give support and advice to site team with contractual matters where possible
* Ensure in conjunction with the Managing Surveyor, that the risk mitigation strategy is effectively managed

Individual:



* Degree in Quantity Surveying is preferred
* Good knowledge of contract conditions and law within the Construction Industry
* Experience in private and spec housing is desirable
* IT skills, proficient in the use of MS Office in particular Excel
* Excellent Communication skills both written and verbally
* A good organiser with proven time management skills
* Self-motivated and work co-operatively as part of a team.
* Ability to take initiative in resolving problems.
