Randstad are delighted to be working in cooperation with a Private sector client to recruit a Senior Supervising Social Worker for their Glasgow office. The successful candidate will receive a strong salary ranging from £31k-£38k depending on experience. The office is located in close proximity to Glasgow City Centre and offers free on site parking. The role is full time and permanent.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the following key duties and responsibilities;Deputising for the Fostering Service Manager / Team Manager, including attending meetings, chairing team meetings and Foster Carer support groupsTaking a lead role in the delivery if core training for Foster Carers, Journey to Foster Pre-approval and preparation trainingSupervising/practice teaching a Social Work Student PlacementTaking on more challenging and complex casesTaking a lead role in projects and initiativesUndertaking the induction of newly appointed staffRecruiting, assessing and monitoring the continued stability and competence of Foster Carers ensuring they provide safe, healthy, nurturing and learning environments for the children and young people
In order to be considered for this role an applicant should be confident in meeting the below criteria before applying;Hold a Social Work qualification and be registered with the SSSCHave a a minimum of 2 years post qualifying experience in a Children and Family settingHave experience of working with Foster Carers and young peopleHave strong report writing skillsHave evidence of supervisory experienceHold a full driving license
