Senior Technical Support Officer (GIS & Planning)

*Ongoing contract* *££ Negotiable*

Are you an experienced technical support officer with a background in planning or GIS? We have an exciting opportunity for someone looking to take on a senior support role for a Local Authority client based in South West London.

Paying up to £25 per hour, this is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to move into a new role.

Predominately you will support and development of the use of the Service's information technology systems that aid the Council's processing of planning applications, enforcement and appeals work, document management and forward planning functions as well as:
Extending the use of the system and related work flow processes within Planning plus training users.
Liaison with different user groups;
Creating user reports based on the Planning database;

Knowledge of Planning processes and software, ideally Northgate (MVM) M3 suite of Planning, Building Control and Land Charges software is key to this role.

Experience of the folllowing would also be beneificial:

* Oracle/SQL;
* Document Management Systems
* Microsoft Office;
* GIS products preferably MapInfo and/or QGIS;
* Crystal Reports;
