My client is a leading construction and house build group in the UK, highlighted in the FTSE 250 UK businesses to work for. Their infrastructure department is looking for a experienced Site Engineer based in Scunthorpe to join their team, specialising in water working on a new pumping station. For the right candidate my client will consider flexible working hours and arrangements. Please recognise this specific project for for 24 months, however new innovative projects will be reallocated to the right candidate afterwards. As this is a design and build project, my client requires a candidate with a good civil's background.

Employees will need to take full responsibility for the co-ordination of construction work and management of site functions allocated by the Agent and Project Manager during site occupancy. Maintaining and maximising quality of service to time and within budget costs will be part of your role.

Key Responsibilities:

* The successful candidate will be part of a site based team and will assist in the planning, construction and handover of this design and build project
* Reporting directly to the Site Agent and will have full responsibility for the setting out of the works on site, quality control with respect to accuracy of installation, material use and workmanship.
* Supporting the Site Management team in maintaining and enforcing HS&E standards as required by statute and in accordance with the company's safety policies.
* Assisting in the programming, resource management, cost control within agreed budgets and customer, public, third party and client interfaces.
* You will be supported by the Site Agent and other team members including specialist services such as HS&E, QA and Customer Relations ad-visors etc.
* The role requires interaction with our in-house design team and other departments such as commercial, purchasing, document control etc.
* The sector Contracts Manager team will provide guidance, mentoring and direction as appropriate.

Experience and Qualifications:

To be considered for this role you will be able to demonstrate the below skills and experience:

* A civil engineering background is preferable with knowledge of the water industry
* It is essential for candidates to have site management experience
* Candidates must have thorough understanding of safety, environmental and quality management processes and must have a positive track record.
* Candidates must have through understanding of commercial and procurement processes
* Candidates must have thorough understanding of project planning and monitoring processes
* Candidates must be able to demonstrate an effective co-ordination strategy for on site and works collaboration platforms.
* CSCS card
* Environmental awareness training
* First Aid
* Confined Space Training
* IT skills e.g. Office 365
