job description

Do you have a solid history as a site Manager? Have you a track record of managing a project from set up through to completion?

We have an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic company with that is well known in the construction industry. This site is conveniently located in Cambridge, if you are free to start a project then this may be the job for you!

As the site manager you will be responsible for the overall success of the site supported by the Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Site Engineer and other Managers. Your role will involve but will not be limited to:



* Managing a site from set up to completion
* Managing all site contractors
* Ensuring deadlines and programmes of work are adhered to
* Line management of staff on site including recruitment via agency
* Ensure drawings are followed and amendments are tracked
* Responsible for all aspects of site health and safety including inductions, risk assessments and method statements
* Site inspections
* Quality Management
* Building good working relationships with other staff and departments
* Reporting - Budget, Progress and health and safety

Skills and Qualifications:



* CSCS Management card, SMSTS and First Aid
* Qualification in construction related subject
* Previous experience in managing a high value project from set up to completion
* Ability to build effective working relationships and influence
* IT literate with experience in MS office and in house systems
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to lead and encourage others to work in the best interest of the project
