Site Supervisor

Location: Brighton

Contract type: Freelance

Start date: ASAP

Salary/Rate: £22.00 - £25.00 per hour

We are looking for a Site Supervisor to work on various highways projects across the Brighton area, for a Brighton based contractor. This contractor deal with all aspects of civil engineering - highways, bridges, infrastructure, environmental, frameworks and special works. Therefore, we are looking for Site Supervisor who has a mixed civil engineering background, but recent experience in highways would be advantageous.

You will report into the Project Manager and will be responsible for looking after the plant and labour.

You will need to have experience of leading a team and supervising crews of workers to ensure that projects proceed smoothly. Ideally candidates will have worked their way up from a tools background.

You will be responsible for:

* Managing workforce
* Motivating the team to complete projects on schedule
* Ensuring that the site team complies with site rules and regulations while monitoring the quality of their work
* Collaborating with clients, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure that all aspects of the project proceed as planned
* Maintaining equipment and manage paperwork


* Ideally you will have progressed from a tools background

* Experience working on civil engineering projects with a main contractor , with experience in - highways, bridges, infrastructure, environmental, frameworks and special works
* Recent highways experience

* CSCS Card
* First Aid


* Salary £22.00-£25.00 per hour
