    Slitting/Decoiling/Press Line Operative

    Randstad Engineering are currently recruiting on behalf of TATA Steel for Slitting Operatives, Decoiling Operatives and Press Line Operatives to join their fast-paced team at their site in Wednesfield Wolverhampton. The shift for this position is double days, working 0530-1330hrs and 1330 to 2200hrs Monday to Thursday and 0530-1140hrs and 1140-1710hrs Friday. Candidates with experience in Slitting operations can expect starting Salary - £21,568 plus 10% shift premium for double days (Starting rate £12.17p) and 50% premium for weekend (Hourly rate £16.59p).

    Key Responsibilities:

    You will be responsible to undertake various warehouse duties across Steelpark such as:
     Operate machinery and material handling equipment in a safe and productive
    manner and to good standards of workmanship to deliver the required levels of
    safety, quality, production, and customer service.
     Follow site health and safety rules, guild lines, SWP etc,
     Shows an ability to challenge unsafe conditions and actions
     Work flexibly and as directed, according to your skills, to meet the needs of the
    business.
     Recognise relevant product ranges to facilitate prompt and accurate material
    selection and processing.
     Understand and deploy continuous improvement and problem-solving techniques
    to optimise machine availability.
     Understand, deploy and seek to recommend improvements to production control
    procedures to support team performance objectives.
     Handle all material including stock records, labelling, and storing according to
    commercial requirements and recognised safety standards.
     Be actively involved in your own personal development plans to maximise
     performance in the role and the contribution to succession requirements of the
    business.
     Impart knowledge of processes and activities to others in a structured and formal
    manner to support the teams operational and development objectives
     Ensure that own and team operations, including those undertaken on the
    company's behalf by third party service providers, are conducted in a manner
    which fully complies with TSDUK&I's health and safety, quality, environmental
    and corporate policies.

    Job Requirements:
    • Previous experience in one of Slitting/Decoiling/Press Line is essential
