Small Works Manager - FM Provider - London - 55K + Travel

One of our major clients is currently looking to recruit a small works manager to join their busy maintenance team to work on a large commercial contact based in Central London. The location is the main selling point of this role, being based at a historic and prestigeous site in the heart of London. The main aim of the role is to ensure the timely execution and completion of all projects and ongoing works as defined by the client whilst working within budgets and agreed timescales.

The main duties of the role are as follows:

* Identify and generate opportunities from within the contract
* Plan and execute all small works as per clients specification and scope of works
* Liaise with stakeholders to review the clients scope of works and trouble shoot any foreseeable issues
* Work with consultants, exhibition managers, designers and sub-contractors to quote against the scope of work.
* Manage, run and draw up tenders on behalf of the customer as required. Carry out full tender analysis of all sub contractor returns.
* Ensure QHSE practices and processes are fully embedded in each task.
* Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of the work(s) "end to end". Including, but not limited to, sub-contractor management, monitoring and site manager duties.
* Liaise with the contract team to ensure that there is adequate resource in place to deliver all tasks on time within the SLA
* Work closely with relevant internal & external stake holders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the work(s).
* Ensure customer acceptance is adhered to, with all change notifications submitted for approval in advance.
* Meet and mutually agree the Task Orders submissions al least monthly.
* Ensures project documents are complete, current and appropriately stored.
* Provide timely monthly reports in an agreed format.

The role will also require the individual to get involved in business development, building relationships, have commercial awareness (payments, pricing, budget control etc) and manage the project processes.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

* Understanding of the difference between mark up and margin
* Minimum of 5 years proven Project Management experience in an M&E, FM ,construction or critical environment Proven experience of running a P&L
* Experience managing a team
* CDM regulations
* IOSH Managing Safely and/or SMSTS
* Recognised technical qualification in construction, M or E or similar
* Business standard of written and verbal literacy and numeracy
