Are you an experienced Social Worker within Children's Social Services, passionate about ensuring the people you work with receive the help they need? If so, Cumbria County Council are looking for a Social Worker to work within the Support and Protection team in the Workington area. The contract is initially 3 months however, may be extended.

You will be working within a supportive team with a committed leadership team which is focused on improving the outcomes of families across Workington.

As a Social Worker for the Support and Protection Team you will be working on a Safeguarding caseload including child in need, child protection, looked after children and section 47's

This is a full time role working 5 days per week.

The successful candidate can expect attractive pay rates of up to £35 per hour.

As a Social Worker you will be responsible for:

Working on a Safeguarding caseload including child in need, child protection, looked after children and section 47's

An agreed caseload of referrals from the contact and referral team either with a completed assessment, established plan or a new enquiry

Providing evidence for cases if taken to court where necessary.

Implementing, reviewing and updating care plans

The minimum requirements for this role are:

-HCPC Qualification

-Social Work Qualification

-Experienced at a Senior Manager level within Children's Services
