Specialist One to One Study Skills Support

Work with disabled student's to bring them on an equal level with their peers, so they can achieve their dream life. Help them fulfil their potential, with strategy based learning empowering them to become fully independent learners.

* Help your own students achieve their educational or vocational goals.
* Dedicated consultant
* Flexible working hours so you can tailor your working hours to suit your schedule!
* Competitive rates of £20-28.00 per hour (depending on the assignment)
* 28 days holiday pro rata

Key Responsibilities:



* Providing one-to-one support in private rooms to students with learning difficulties or recognised on the Autism Spectrum.
* Developing and introducing strategies that are non-subject specific support strategies including time management and organisation to aid the student to get on top of their schedule enabling them to achieve a healthy work-life balance.
* Working closely with individual students to develop their own strategies for essay writing skills, exam preparation and overall academic performance
* Understanding professional boundaries, with the student not acting as a counsellor or mental health advocate.
* Effectively managing your own caseload and booking of your sessions.
* Updating student attendance after sessions via the OPUS online system.

Requirements for the role:

Membership of one of the below bodies;



* PATOSS - full membership
* BDA - full membership
* ADSHE - full membership
* Dyslexia Guild - full, fellow or associate membership

Desirable Qualifications:

Autism / Asperger's Qualifications of one of the below;



* All NAS core autism online training modules
* Holds a PG Certificate in Autism / PG Certificate in Aspergers
