If you have answered yes then this is definitely your next role.

A lovely school in Hassocks is looking for a speech and language therapist to join their therapy team in September 2018. The school is a day and residential setting for children from 7 to 13 years old who are on different levels of the autistic spectrum. You will need to have some sort of paediatric training to be considered for this role.

Responsibilities of the role will include:
* undertaking students assessments
* planning and providing appropriate treatment
* giving advice and support to students, family members and teachers
* writing reports
* maintaining records and case notes
* liaising with teachers, doctors, physiotherapists, family members and carers
* performing controlled therapy sessions with students/families

Key skills for this role:
* Experience of working with children with Special Education Needs (SEN), particularly children on the Autism Spectrum.
* Confidence, enthusiasm and a passion for learning
* Excellent English skills (clear written and spoken English) along with good reading, writing and numeracy skills.
* The ability to build good working relationships with children, teachers, parents and carers.
* Experience of working with children and the ability to manage groups of children and cope with challenging behaviour are desirable for the role.
