Health and Wellbeing nurse

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £29,500pa - £33,000pa

Hours: 37.5 hours

Would you like to be part of a growing team helping adults nationally recover from alcohol and drug addiction?

An ever-growing charity is looking for nurses to join their Birmingham team. The successful candidate would be working on an inpatient detoxification unit, offering clinical and psycho-social interventions for service users with complex health, drug and alcohol dependency issues. The team is looking for health and wellbeing nurses to join them and help make a difference to improve the lives of service users.

Responsibilities



* Focus on improving the health of service users by managing medically assisted drug and alcohol detoxification and tracking the overall health and wellbeing of service users whilst resident in the unit.


* Conduct health assessments, drug and alcohol tests


* Screen patients for bloodborne viruses


* Administer medication and vaccinations


Requirements



* Must be registered with the NMC; RGN or RMN


* Must have experience in substance misuse or a similar field


* Must be flexible with working hours
