Strategy, Policy and Performance Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Strategy, Policy and Performance Officer based in a Local Authority in East London.

Post: Strategy, Policy and Performance Officer

Rate: Circa £179- £180 a day

We are looking for an experienced Strategy, Policy and Performance Officer to make plans and take decisions based on the best possible intelligence and evidence and proactively solves problems affecting the quality of outcomes to residents and communities.

The main duties of the role are as followings;



* Research, collate, capture, store and publish evidence and datasets to support this planning and decision making. The post-holder will be required to research and identify external and internal datasets required to help the Council understand demand for services now and in the future. The post-holder will be responsible for ensuring that these datasets are captured within Council systems and are accessible to colleagues on demand.
* Work with other analysts across the Council and partnership to ensure that evidence and data is joined up and shared to support better planning and decision making. This will mean liaison with stakeholders across the council and with partner organisations as well as working to ensure that systems and processes enable effective sharing and joining-up of data, subject to considerations of data protection.
* Work to design key performance indicators to reflect priority outcomes and build the necessary systems and processes to capture and report against these. This will include defining and documenting new performance indicators, ensuring that responsibilities for data generation and collation are clearly understood.

Requirements



* Experience of working in Social Housing and working knowledge of research, statistical, qualitative and quantitative, questionnaire design, survey analysis and community safety analysis and performance, including police and crime analysis.
* A good understanding of statutory, policy and regulatory frameworks.
* Ability to support performance management, intelligence and data quality arrangements and operations in a local government setting.
* Ability to analyse statistical and performance data and use it to support evidence based decision making in a designated specialism.
