A university in Bolton is on the hunt for a mental health advisor to join their team with the assessments of students. This role involves a combination of face to face and remote support managing the assessments. The purpose of this role is to deliver mental health advice to students with existing and emerging mental health issues to help encourage a smooth transition through university and to help inspire the students to reach their full potential. Experience of managing a caseload is essential with excellent organisational skills. In addition, they must be able to establish and maintain relationships with students with clinical and non-clinical backgrounds, helping them lead a positive life and manage anxieties and worries. Responsibilities Research & interpret and manipulate data using a variety of systems, analysing and reporting key findings. Review and monitor processes, procedures and associated documentation drawing in specialist knowledge, implementing or making recommendations for changes as appropriate. Provide specialist advice and guidance in unpredictable situations and enable appropriate solutions. Provide guidance, advice and deliver training on specialist activities and associated policies and procedures. Success will be measured by student satisfaction feedback and evaluation responses. Requirements A relevant professional qualification such as Registered Mental Health Nurse/ Community Psychiatric Nurse/ Social Advisor/ Occupations Therapist/ Probation Officer and/or substantial experience of providing mental health advice and assessment to vulnerable adults. Registration and professional standing with an appropriate professional body relevant to the area of mental health (Desirable).Work experience in a demanding environment e.g. NHS, Social Work or voluntary sector with clients with moderate to severe mental health difficulties.
