Responsibilities:



* Providing support to learners, especially those with learning difficulties
* Provide overall care for learners
* To become an active member of the additional support team
* Provide personal care to students as required
* Help develop the independent living skills of the learner
* Observe the administration of medication where appropriate training has been given in line with students care plan
* Ability to monitor students' progress and set new targets

Requirements:



* Level 2 learner support certificate or equivalent
* Educated to level 2 in Maths and English
* Past experience in a similar role
* A willingness to work on all Bedford college sites
* A positive and adaptable attitude
* Responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people in the college and area
* Experience using Microsoft Office software
* Ability to support students' mobility and personal care needs
* The successful applicant must be suitable to work with children and vulnerable adults
