Randstad Student & Worker Support are looking for a reliable and committed Study Assistant to work with a student who is based in Sutton. The student has cerebral paslsy and would require support in the home for two days a week (the days and times can be agreed at a slot that is mutually beneficial). The student requires support with things such as organisation, motivation, encouragement and having someone there to work through their assignments with
Working as a study assistant you will be providing an essential 1-1 service to students who due to their disability cannot support themselves, and will provide a crucial service required to help them get to the end of their degree

28 days holiday pay pro rata
£10- £12 per hour - plus holiday pay

Providing Study Assistant support to students suffering from disabilities/mental health conditions your responsibilities will include:
Producing accurate and legible handwritten notes
To maintain a professional role as a support worker and be aware of the need to maintain this professional relationship with the student at all times
To act in the best interests of learners at all times whilst also working within the policies and procedures of the institution
Text checking (pointing out errors but not providing corrections)
You will work closely with Randstad regarding the needs of individual students, ensuring that any concerns are addressed in a timely manner. You will be expected to act professionally and maintain confidentiality within your role at all times, sharing all relevant information with Randstad to ensure the best possible service to your students.
Punctuality and reliability
Experience of working with individuals with disabilities
Educated to a degree level
Good listening and communication skills
Ideal candidate will be compassionate and committed to helping others
Have neat handwriting - able to produce notes in a legible and presentable manner
Experience in a support worker/ teaching background
