My client is a leading construction and house build group in the UK, highlighted in the FTSE 250 UK businesses to work for. Their infrastructure department is looking for a experienced Sub Agent based in Scunthorpe to join their team, specialising in water working on a new pumping station. For the right candidate my client will consider flexible working hours and arrangements. Please recognise this specific project for for 24 months, however new innovative projects will be reallocated to the right candidate afterwards. As this is a design and build project, my client requires a candidate with a good civil's background.

Key Responsibilities:



* Requiring the right candidate to establish, maintain and enforce compliance with the current safety legislation and the Company's Health, Safety and Environmental Policies
* To deliver work in a sustainable manner
* Undertake role of the Site Safety Supervisor
* Ensure the site fulfils all obligations for external compliance audits
* Ensure basic company requirements for supervision, competency, first aid cover etc are fulfilled at all times
* Maintain the culture whereby everyone is continually seeking to satisfy client requirements
* Ensure systems are in place and used in order that quality of work is to the prescribed contractual and national standards
* Monitor the capability of staff and contractors to undertake current and prospective workloads and report to site management
* Identify and assist to introduce new processes, techniques and innovations on site
* Plan and co-ordinate the projects as allocated
* Ensure the correct administering of the contractual processes
* Ensure all design and approvals processes are controlled and fulfilled
* Oversee the day to day construction processes and ensure co-ordination within the site team, client and contractors
* Attend external meetings and maintain necessary regular contact with clients and stakeholders.
* Control and monitor the planning and progress of the works against the agreed programme
* Administer the cost forecast, valuation and reporting systems, maximise cash flow and profitability.
* Implement strict financial controls on subcontractors, suppliers and operatives.
* Post contract, organise and co-ordinate the undertaking of maintenance work.
* Lead the adoption of collaborative methods of working including IT platforms within the site teams
* Ensure full participation in staff development review, training and mentoring
* Ensure the timely reporting of information in line with internal company and external client requirements
* Manage the project procurement process for suppliers and contractors in line with the divisional processes and commercial best practise.
* Build long term relationships with clients, partners, contractors and other key stakeholders

Experience and Qualifications:

To be considered for this role you will be able to demonstrate the below skills and experience:



* Civil Engineering background, preferably with a contractor in the water industry
* You must have site management experience
* Thorough understanding of safety, environmental and quality management processes and able to demonstrate positive track record.
* Thorough understanding of commercial and procurement processes
* Thorough understanding of project planning and monitoring processes
* Able to demonstrate an effective co-ordination strategy for on site works and collaboration platforms.
* SMSTS
* CSCS card
* Environmental awareness training
* First Aid
* Confined Space Training
* IT skills e.g. Office 365
