Are you a qualified Social Worker with experience as part of Fostering teams? Would you like to take the next step in your career? Do you enjoy working for an employer who values its workforce? If so, we have a great opportunity available.

Our northern local authority client is currently recruiting for experienced Qualified Social Workers to join their specialist team who provide a key service in supervising and supporting foster carers. The contract will be for 3 months with the possibility of extension.

The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for:

* Supervising foster carers by make sure they fully understand the fostering task as well as the agencies policies and procedures
* Promoting the welfare of children placed with foster carers
* Completing assessments using the mainstream fostering assessments, combined family and friends and SGO assessment work
* Attending regulate meetings and reviews on behalf of the agency within the decision process

* Have a minimum of 6 months post qualifying experience working in children's Social Work teams
* Hold a relevant Social Work qualification
* Be HCPC registered, or be in process of registration
* Hold current DBS (preferably on upgrade service)
