Have you got the ability to solve issues on your own initiative and have a technical background?

We've been engaged by a growing international financial services organisation who are looking for a Support Engineer to join their team. You'll provide maintenance and support of all software, hardware and peripherals for their UK flagship office. You'll also be involved with a variety of interesting and challenging projects as our client works with the latest technology.

This opportunity could suit a 1st Line Support Engineer looking to make the step up to 2nd Line, or someone already at 2nd Line keen to develop themselves further.

Key responsibilities:



* Provide support to daily operations, ensuring systems run smoothly.
* Effectively deal with user requests, providing 1st to 2nd Line Support.
* Investigate and analyse more complex situations to identify underlying causes.
* Install or replace PC terminals, printers, phones and other IT equipment where required.
* Receive and accurately log IS service requests from users, ensuring all are responded to in a timely manner and within SLA. Update and maintain call logs accurately.
* Assist testing and implementation of software applications.
* Understand and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.

What you need:



* Experience of providing service desk/desktop IT support for a networked business.
* Supporting and maintaining a Windows environment (Office, Outlook, Exchange, Active Directory).
* Knowledge of servers would be advantageous (Windows Server or Linux).
* A good understanding of common IT office equipment (PCs, monitors, printers, phones).
* Able to demonstrate your interest and passion for tech.
* Attention to detail, ability to follow agreed processes and procedures.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
