This Specialist School and College is based in beautiful Lingfield, Surrey and is part of a multi-disciplinary team which includes their Therapy and Health directorates as well as their pioneering onsite Research facility.
The College offers specialised education for young adults from 19 - 25 years of age, primarily with Epilepsy, Autism, and severe learning difficulties. Set in stunning grounds, The College offers all the latest facilities to help students grow in confidence and learn independence.

The role involves:
-Providing teaching assistance to the teacher defined according to weekly/daily/sessional planning of the teacher
-Providing group and/or individual activities, planned by the teacher
-Supporting all learners in their planned structured work in all curriculum areas and the general well being of learners within the structure of the school
-Monitoring and evaluating learners' learning under the guidance of the teacher
-Assisting teachers in the use of relevant management strategies to ensure a purposeful environment for teaching and learning to take place
-Some personal care may be required
Key Skills and Qualifications:
-Good numeracy and literacy skills
-Good interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students and teachers
-Experience of working in a special school environment is desirable, but not essential
-A positive attitude and a passion for working with vulnerable children
-Own transport due to location is desirable
