Learning Disabilities Support Worker - Sully

Do you have a passion for providing first class support? Are you an experienced Support Worker? We have exciting opportunities available for a Support Worker role in the Sully area.

You will be based with in a residential setting working with individuals over 18 years old with learning difficulties and challenging behaviour. Working along side the service users you will help to promote their self esteem and independence whilst they complete the transition from college to employment/placements.

This is a permanent commencing as soon as possible. To be considered for this role, experience of working within a similar secure setting in the care sector is preferable however we are also looking for individuals with vast life experience in general.

Responsibilities:



* Promoting independence to service users with challenging behaviour.
* Effectively communicating with all clients.
* Supporting service users with day to day activities.
* Remaining organised and professional under pressurised circumstances.
* Completing all care plans effectively.
* Implement effective and creative approaches to problem solving.

Requirements:



* Ability to work under pressure.
* Experience working with those with challenging behaviours.
* Excellent communication skills.
* A flexible attitude to working hours.
* Qualified in Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care or evidenced experience.
* A valid DBS.

Flexible working is available with the option to work both full time and part time hours. Shifts will vary from 6 to 12 hours Monday to Sunday. The house will be opening in August so candidates will need to attend a two week induction in July.
