A learning disability affects the way a person understands information and how they communicate. This means they can have difficulty understanding new or complex information, learning new skills and coping independently. It is estimated that around 286,000 young people in the UK have a learning disability. Those suffering often require support in order to help them successfully socialise with others and thrive within their community. Offering this support takes an individual with patience, empathy and excellent social skills.
We are seeking dedicated, confident support workers to give dedicated support to service users and their families. This support role will give you great job satisfaction, a real feeling that you are changing and making a difference to someone's life. Not only will you be making a difference, but you will be working as part of a fantastic and well supported team that all have the same drive and determination to make a difference.
