I am looking for a caring and nurturing person to join my team near Crawley supporting young adults from ages 11 - 19 with multiple learning difficulties inside and outside the classroom. The role will include personal care, manual handling, supporting inside the classroom and supervising on educational visits. Do you have a passion for helping others? Job responsibilities will include:
* Assisting young people with building key life skills.
* Interacting with learners that have different needs and helping them engage in accessing education.
* Providing personal care
* Ensuring the classroom is health and safety enabled
* Assisting the main teacher with any tasks, plan and prep for the lesson
* Monitoring students progression and keeping reports
* Building good relationships with the 1:1 students
* Working in a team to ensure each young adult has equal access to education

Key requirements/skills:
* Must have own transport
* Must have previous experience working with children or vulnerable people
* Experience with ASD (Autism), SEMH (social-emotional mental health), SLD, MLD, Global delay, Epilepsy, ADHD or other special education needs and behavioural difficulties would be desirable
* Friendly and bubbly personality
* Good sense of humour
* Ability to work well in a team
