Would you like to make a difference to the lives of visually impaired young people? Do you have experience in the care sector?

I am looking for people to join our team to work evening shifts, weekend shifts and day shifts for a leading residential care provider in the Exeter area.

Our client is a specialist day and residential centre offering a unique experience for young people and adults with visual impairment including complex needs.

Job Responsibilities:


As a support worker for this client, you will be providing, physical, emotional and social support for young people with visual impairment and complex needs. You will be fundamental in helping service users live happily and fulfilled lives. You could be supporting young people at their purpose built lodge or you could be out and about helping them to live life to the full. This could mean, swimming, cycling, beach trips, maybe even some retail therapy. As part of the job role, you will also be required to undertake personal care which will vary depending on the young person. You will be recording activities and progress made by young people. You will be carrying out domestic duties as part of a team.


Requirements:


Experience in the care sector is essential. Ideally you will have experience of working with people that have complex care needs but this is not essential. Qualifications in Health and Social Care are helpful but not essential. You should be caring, empathetic, friendly and have a genuine desire to improve the lives of others.

A variety of shift are available every week.



* Evening shifts - 1600/1630 - 2200
* Weekend shifts 0800 - 2200
* Week day shifts: 0800-1600
