Support Worker required in Hook to help children with severe and complex learning difficulties. Flexible hours are available varying from part-time to full-time, with a salary of £8.00-£10.00 per hour. This is a chance to join a team who supply 24 hour care, 52 weeks of the year to ensure equal opportunities.

Job Purpose -

- Help support children with severe and complex learning difficulties lead a life of fulfilment and encourage their independence.

- Supporting children who may have severe communication difficulties.

- Helping to build independence

- Working within a team to build and grow the children to take part in daily tasks

- Building bonds with the children to ensure ongoing, personal quality of provision

- Access to a farm which is located on the school grounds

Knowledge -

- Understanding of autism

- Challenging behaviour

- Safeguarding

- Working with varied ages throughout childhood

- Health and safety

- Awareness of special complex needs

- Relevant statutory legislation

- Commitment to equal opportunities

Experience -

- Experience with service users with autism.

- Working with children that have problems such as epilepsy, self injury, aggression and disruptive behaviour

- Previous experience with challenging behaviour

- Working within a residential/classroom setting

- This job requires a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check
