Are you an experienced Support Worker looking to assist the local authority in providing care to adults and improving individuals' quality of life?

The successful Support Worker will be responsible for:

* Assisting in the delivery of personal, physical, social and emotional care
* Taking reasonable of their own health and safety and that of others whilst at work
* Liaising with community and health care services as appropriate
* Monitoring the effects and opportunities of group living on residents, and recognising the personal rights and dignity of each individual
* Encouraging and promoting social interactions within resident groups
* Where appropriate, taking responsibility for the safety and care of the residents' belongings
* Providing and maintaining accurate records such as care plans, reviews and case notes
* Attending full staff and care group meetings, participating in staff support systems and undertaking training where appropriate
* Cooperating with managers and local authority figures to ensure compliance with safety regulations such as the Adult Services Policy and Procedure for Health and Safety

In order to be considered for this post, you must:

* Be educated to SVQ 3 or HNC level or have the ability to establish competency at this level
* Have experience dealing with vulnerable clients in a supportive setting
* Have effective and efficient communication skills to allow for communication with colleagues, adults and families
* Demonstrate respectful interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence and an awareness of self and others
* Have a compassionate attitude and empathetic understanding
