Support worker

Location: Ribbleton, Preston, PR2 6RW
Vacancy Type- Temp/perm
Hours: 35 hours per week

This could be the job for you
We are looking for experienced support worker to provide person centred care to people with learning disabilities and complex needs.
The Service provides bespoke care packages for 9 service users; bespoke care packages consist of:
- Personal care
- Medication administration
- Meal Prep
However you will be expected to respond to emergency call outs for the other flats when the manager is not on site.
The service users will require additional support and encouragement. Helping them to enjoy and fulfil their life journey to the best of their ability. You will play a huge part in implementing socially valued lifestyle, including culturally and age appropriate experiences. Building on strengths, interest and aspirations if service users. Enable people to access social, leisure, work and educational opportunities

We are looking for someone who:
* Is able to respect persons right to privacy and ensuring their dignity is maintained at all times
* Promote rights and entitlements of people with learning disabilities and complex needs and enable them to participate in their community
* Support service users gain independence and competence in:
- Personal care
- Daily living skills
- Personal safety
- Social and leisure activities
* Must be a driver
* Pro-active with a passion for sports
* Bubbly personality
* Flexible to part take in rota request
* Experience in working with adults with learning disabilities and complex needs
