Are you passionate about working with young people with learning difficulties? Do you have up to date Manual Handling training? Do you have resilience and experience working with SEN and/or EBD?

Whether it is learning how to cut someone's hair or how to cook gourmet meals, this college has a wide range of practical courses for its learners. You will be working alongside a young adult with Autism and some challenging behaviour to help them access their chosen curriculum and learn the life and social skills they will need once they leave education.

Your responsibilities will include:
-Helping to build students' confidence and motivation
-Acting as a liaison between tutor and student
-Physically supporting learner, pushing wheelchairs, working with animals and working outside in all weathers
-Supporting learners with managing behaviour and accessing the curriculum
-Ensuring accurate student records are maintained

An ideal candidate may possess the following skills and capabilities:
-Be able to adapt to a range of working environments and different learning abilities
-Have an understanding of health and safety implications
-Be self-motivated and have the ability to work as part of a team
-Significant experience working with young people or adults with a range of learning difficulties
-GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-Up to date Manual Handling training
