This role is working within a residential school service providing guidance and support to children and young people. Activities are key in this beautiful multi-sensory setting set in the beautiful Shropshire countryside. Join a truly passionate and inspiring team, building friendships whilst developing your skills. Salary around £23,000 per annum.

Job Purpose -
* Interact with children keeping them active and engaged at all times
* Taking part in sensory engagement, activities including drama, swimming, woodland escapes and much more
* Aid the development of the children during their school and home life, promoting a healthy lifestyle
* Be a consistent and caring adult role model
* Promoting independence within the lives of the children
* Supporting children to manage their behaviour using various techniques
* Using skills and approved approaches learning during training provided
* Follow the safeguarding policies

Experience -
* Being able to engage and interact with the children is key!
* Understanding of challenging behaviour
* Must be able to work long days or waking nights
* Background in the care sector preferred but not necessary- personal experience also accepted
* Rural location means drivers are preferred for their own ease of getting to the school
* Excellent communication skills required
