job description

Would you like to make a world of difference to the life and prospects of a young person?

Do you have experience of supporting young people with challenging behaviour?

We have various temporary and permanent opportunities for Support Workers across the South West, where the main focus is supporting young people leaving care, promoting independence and encouraging them to make good decisions for their future.

This can definitely be a challenging line of work, supporting 16-18 year olds, who often have had a troubled past, but it can also be extremely rewarding!

Who should apply?

Ideally we are looking for people who have at least 6 months experience of supporting children and young people with challenging behaviour. An NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) would certainly be an advantage. If you have experience in another care sector and believe you are up to challenge, we would certainly like to talk to you!

Job responsibilities:

Working on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis to support a young person.

Work in a pro-active manner, being aware of the issues faced by the young people in their care.

Supporting young people and promoting independence within the home.

Hours of work:

Various shifts available, but often can be long shifts up to 24 hours including sleeps. Shorter shifts available within certain services.

Benefits:

* Opportunities for permanent role for the right people.
* Training available.
* Weekly pay.
* Competitive holiday.
* Flexible working hours that you choose

If you would like to find out more about these amazing opportunities to change the life of a vulnerable young person, please apply online today!
