SEN Teachers for September

Qualified SEN teacher. Do you have this expertise?

SEN teachers are being sought after for a school with a difference. This school has all the facilities in place which enables students to take the holistic approach to learning. All teaching is child-centred and differentiated to suit the needs of the students.
The building has the added benefit of all new facilities and devices which would enable a new teacher to meet the needs of both the curriculum and the needs of the students within their class.

As a teacher, would need to be able to differentiate the lessons in order to cater to the students' needs and be open to embrace new teaching techniques in order to draw out the potential within a student. The curriculum will cover all subjects and the school itself has a diverse age range, from lower Primary to upper Secondary.

Your role will include:
* Planning, preparing and delivering of inspiring and motivating lessons
* Working with a dedicated Learning Support Assistant and/or health colleague
* Small group teaching
* Targeted intervention
* Devising Educational Plans and liaising with colleagues to create these
* Liaison with outside agencies e.g. Mental Health services
* Meeting with parents and reporting on their behaviour

Key skills and experience needed
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) are also welcome to apply
* SEN experience is essential
* Be able to work with students whom have mild to severe learning and physical difficulties
* Willingness to embrace new teaching strategies that would benefit the students
* Understanding of behavioural patterns
* Out of the box teaching and taking the everyday subjects and turning them into a lesson which is inspiring
