Teaching Assistant ( Behaviour Support )
Leeds

Are you passionate on making a difference to pupils that need additional support?

We are working with a Secondary Alternative Provision, in the Leeds area, that are looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant to join their existing team, at the start of the academic year.

The schools ethos is to give their pupils a nurturing and inspiring environment where students are supported and encouraged to take charge of their lives, their learning and their decisions.

Skills required:



* Experience of working with young people - in educational settings, youth work, childrens homes, sports coaching or mental health facilities
* Able to build positive working relationships with young people and staff
* Have good resilience and genuine empathy

Your role will include:



* To provide engaging 1 to 1 support for students who require it
* To monitor and evaluate learners' learning under the guidance of the teacher
* To assist teachers in the use of relevant behaviour management strategies to ensure a purposeful environment for teaching and learning to take place
* To support all learners in their planned structured work
