A Specialist academic and therapeutic provision in a peaceful, rural setting is looking for an engaging teaching assistant to join their team ASAP. With outdoor educational and sensory activities to get stuck into, this is a great school if you love supporting students with an interactive and practical curriculum! The students you will be working with have a variety of Social, Emotional and Mental health needs and are aged between 11-16 years. This role is needed on a full time, permanent basis (term time only) and is a fabulous opportunity for those who want to join an expert-led and integrated therapy specialist school.

Your responsibilities will include:
-Working on a 1:1 basis and in small groups with pupils
-Providing feedback to teacher on students' progress and development
-Creating a secure and positive classroom environment
-Supervising and monitoring behaviour
-Following the individual learning plans set by the teacher
An ideal candidate may possess the following skills and capabilities:
-The ability to build positive and appropriate relationships with students and teachers
-A passion for working with SEN children
-Own means of transport
-GCSE Maths and English
-NVQ level 2 in Teaching and learning or a desire to obtain this qualification
