A SEMH school in the Brighton area are looking for an energetic and resilient Teaching Assistant who has the ability to create a positive rapport with the students and support them throughout their school day. The school supports students who have social, emotional and mental health difficulties: experience within this field is essential.

Your role will require:
* Understanding each student's health plan
* Liaising with the teacher to ensure all learners are supported`
* Engaging with learners to keep them on task
* Delivering 1:1 or small, group-focused lessons when required

The skills required:
* Good Maths and English skills
* A clear understanding of what skills are needed to work with SEMH students
* Patience and flexibility to deal with changes that may present themselves due to the nature of the learners
* An ability to look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare
