We are looking for a Student Support Assistant to provide care and learning development for young people aged 4-19 with physical disabilities and complex medical conditions. This specialised school is set on beautiful grounds near Bromley and has brilliant facilities and education plans for all of its students. Your focus will be to ensure your students have an exciting and social school experience and help them to become independent and confident individuals.

Your responsibilities will include:
-Ensuring effective communication with and between staff and students
-Delivering particular strategies and programmes for students
-Taking a lead in regards to general support duties including providing physical management and personal care
-Providing a safe and positive classroom environment
-Supporting students in their education plans and to overcome barriers to learning

An ideal candidate may possess the following skills and capabilities:
-GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English
-Excellent communication skills
-An aspiration to enable students to learn and achieve meaningful independence
-Own means of transport is essential
-At least two professional references
-A passion for and an interest in SEN and physical disabilities
