They have a great community feeling, with residential and non-residential accommodation for learners with autism and speech and language needs. The successful candidate will be trained in Makaton Level 1 to help the students develop their communication skills further.

Your responsibilities:
* Understanding the specific learning needs of autistic individuals and providing the best care possible
* Learning new skills to help support students in the most effective ways, such as Makaton
* Provide personal care, including toileting
* Supervising students with day-to-day activities
* Participating in learning sessions on a 1:1 basis or in group settings

Key requirements:
* An ability to care for children aged between 5-19
* Experience in SEN, youth work or care
* A commitment to safeguarding
* A positive and flexible attitude
* The ability to work independently, using initiative
* Own means of transport
