This fabulous SEN school for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and Speech and Language Needs caters for children aged 7-16. You will be supporting students in their varied interactive curriculum and focusing on the improvement of their learning and social development.

I am looking for a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to build strong relationships with brilliant young people, to start full-time in January 2019!

Your responsibilities will include:
-Taking part in and supervising outdoor activities and educational trips
-Supporting the general wellbeing of learners
-Working on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
-Providing feedback to teacher on progress and development
-Supervising and striving to improve behaviour
-Tailoring learning techniques to individual learners

An ideal candidate may possess the following skills and capabilities:
-Own means of transport is essential
-Be flexible and creative in your approach to learning techniques.
-Ability to build positive and appropriate relationships with children.
-Have an understanding of and an interest in SEN.
-Be confident to lead small groups in different educational subjects.
-Be able to work with learners who have various learning difficulties.
