This happy, lively and caring Church of England school based in Haywards Heath are looking for a flexible Teaching Assistant to join Year 4. With modern classrooms, a computer suite and an extensive outdoor space this is the perfect school to encourage progress in all areas of learning. With the intention of creating independent learners who have a life long love of learning teachers are encouraged to deliver exciting, enriching and challenging lessons in line with Christian values and ethos. Ideally the chosen candidate will be adaptable in and outside the classroom, supporting the classroom teacher in ensuring every child's continued progress. The school is looking for someone with experience of working within a Primary school to support the current team across the Year 4, inspiring each child to be the best that they can be. This is a part time role due to start at the end of January until the end of the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

* Helping the Teacher to set up and deliver creative lessons
* Supporting children in the classroom
* Leading small groups in activities
* Assisting with forest schools
* Contributing to each child's academic and emotional growth
* Ensuring clear communication between teaching staff


Please note that candidates who do not meet the essential criteria for this role will not be considered.


* Experience as a Teaching Assistant in a UK Primary School
* 2 references from the last 5 years (1 must be a full child-based safeguarding reference)
* Knowledge of the Year 4 curriculum


* An up-to-date DBS on the update service
* A job history for the last 10 years
