job description

Introduction:

Do you enjoy engaging with pupils? Can you provide direct support to small groups of students? Could you deliver 1:1 support to SEN children who need it? Do you want to work in an OFSTED rated 'Good' school?

This role would tick all of those boxes, as I am looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant who would be able to provide support in the Upper KS2 years of a school in Nottingham (NG3). The successful candidate must have a genuine passion for instilling confidence and a love for learning within their pupils. The school's ethos is that all students should feel valued in order to achieve their best: they strive to deliver an outstanding service to both the parents and the students, and embrace every opportunity to celebrate achievement. The school is also committed to developing and supporting all the staff who work there.

The role would begin late April, and run full time until the end of July. The hours would be 8:30am until 15:30pm, Monday through Friday.

Benefits
 On-site parking.
 Good transport links on the bus.
 Development opportunities.
 Support within the role.
 A desirable school to work for, sought after by teachers and assistants alike.

Responsibilities
 Providing general support - printing, photocopying, managing behaviour, setting up and running activities
 Conducting 1:1 sessions with SEN children
 Supporting small groups of pupils who are slightly ahead or behind the general class
 Enforcing the classroom roles and responsibilities, and respecting your own place within the framework

Requirements
 Previous experience in an Upper KS2 teaching assistant role
 Cache level 3 is a benefit but not essential to this position
 A fully up to date DBS
 Resilience and a great work ethic

Conclusion:

This opportunity would afford the successful candidate a wealth of experience, working in a brilliant school committed to the continual improvement of both their students and staff. The opportunity to broaden your experience through work with SEN children in 1:1 support sessions could prove vital moving forwards! Apply today if you feel this role would be perfect for you.
