Planner Administrator
Pity Me, Durham
3 months
Full time, Monday to Friday
£10.35 per hour

Purpose of Role:
To ensure the effective scheduling and coordination of field activities, enabling our Technicians and Operatives to maintain the water and sewerage networks. Working within regulatory and legislative requirements, our primary aim is to ensure our customers are delighted with the service we provide.

* Responsible for managing schedule for colleagues based in the field

* Use of corporate systems to manage the daily workload, balancing tasks and available resources to best deliver all activities in line with regulatory requirements and service level agreements
* React to in-day changes and urgent tasks, using own judgement and experience to select best course of action
* Monitor and manage corporate systems (including MWM, Engarde, Plus2 and Exor) ensuring they accurately reflect field activity and availability
* Technical awareness of the field activities being undertaken, and what is required to deliver them successfully
* Knowledge of street works legislation, including New Road and Streetworks Act, to plan work in line with legislation
* Serve notices to local authorities within relevant timescales
* Creation of planning packs to support field activities - including utility plots, DMA survey packs etc
* Support others in team across regions as required

* Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent
* Good awareness of field activities being undertaken
* Good level of technical and system aptitude
* Sound written and verbal communication skills
* Able to work flexibly as part of a team

* Experience of managing multiple demands and prioritising effectively in a reactive environment
* Experience of working in an environment where scheduling work, coordinating resources and working to deadlines is the norm
* Experience of effectively liaising with customers and building excellent relationships
