Senior Temporary works Engineer/Co-ordinator needed to join a busy Civil and Structural Design Consultancy. The firm have over 100 staff and work on a variety of prestigious projects.

This role could either be at a senior engineer level or a suit a potential Associate with a view to growing and developing the temporary works team.

They design all elements of buildings drainage, roads and structures working with the country's top contractors and developers.

You will work on high profile and complex new build and refurbishment building structures, using the most up to date analysis tools. They work with clients from both the public and private sector, in a variety of fields including healthcare, education, housing and commercial developments.

Main Responsibilities:



* Acting as temporary works co-ordinator for a specified site.
* Managing temporary works activities and procedures across the site ensuring adequate control systems are in place.
* Be first point of contact between temporary works designers and the site team.
* Head weekly site meetings with the engineering subcontractors and construction teams to plan and track temporary works and constructions activities.
* Supervise all temporary works activates on site and ensure the correct control measures are in place including use of permit to work systems.
* Ensure design briefs are prepared in accordance with site requirements.
* Maintain all records relating to temporary works including temporary works register, management plan, drawings, calculations and other relevant documents.
* Review temporary works designs ensuring that the designs are correct and in accordance with actual site conditions.
* Provide technical engineering support to the project teams throughout the project life cycle.
* Assist in the tendering process for engineering subcontractors including ground, frame and demolition works.
* Review technical submittals from the engineering consultants and assess efficiency and suitability of construction solutions presented.

Key skills:



* Must have experience of checking scaffold design, form work, and falsework design.
* Some management experience would be useful but not essential as this role would suit someone looking to move into a more senior role and further their career. This role will also be suited to a candidate who is looking to establish and grow a team.
* Must have experience but not limited to crane basis, retaining walls, earth working and façade Engineering.
* BSc, but preferably MEng in a relevant subject and Chartered with the ICE or IstructE.
