Our client is looking for an experienced Technician to start as soon as possible. Purpose of the role: Operate manufacturing machinery and complete preventative and corrective maintenance within work area/production line to ensure the machines achieves output required within quality, yield and waste targets to meet shift Production PlansYour responsibilities will include;Drive Efficiency and EffectivenessMachine OperationBe capable of operating all the machines on a line/work areas within the Manufacturing operation, (inc bottle blowing)Perform machine start-ups and shutdowns as required to achieve line production plansFault-finding to fix commonly occurring faults or problem solve machine performance issues or escalate to a Technician until fixed to ensure minimal impact on line utilisation and availabilityAdvanced Maintenance ExecutionMaintain good standards of housekeeping to ensure own work area is clean and tidyConduct advanced asset care for machines within work area to the standard outlined in the Maintenance Execution Plan (internal machinery asset care) Team flexibilityProvide training and coaching to other team members to improve their machine operation and maintenance performance Provide daily break cover for other team membersPerform other tasks as required by the Team Leader to ensure team performance and manufacturing output is achievedConduct effective machine handovers at the shift start including all necessary operational, safety, and quality issuesAttend and support the delivery of pre-shift team briefing sessions to ensure communication and feedback of key operational and site information Continuous Improvement Share Best Practice with other team members and colleagues to improve Line Utilisation, Yield, Quality, Safety and Environment Actively use line monitoring systems in order to review performance and escalate issues/non conformancesQualification;Maths and English passed at School leaving Certificate level (GCSE in UK)Technically trained (mechanical or electrical to nationally recognised level or proven machine operational skills Experience required;Previous experience of working within a FMCG environment is desirable, will probably have 2 yr + experience of an OperatorMultiple machine operation inc start-ups and shut-downsInternal machine working asset care/complex fault finding techniquesAble to follow Technical manuals/OEM for asset carePc literacy in line information systems Pay rate; £18.07 per hour for the first 12 weeks then it increases to £22.59Shifts hours vary; 06h00 - 14h00, 14h00 - 22h00, 22h00 - 06h00 Successful candidates will be given a comprehensive induction and full training.
