The Company

A regional contractor based in Kent specialising in the production and construction of timber frame products for the construction sector. Our client operates as a main/principal contractor on behalf of private clients and various Housing Associations as well as a subcontractor to Tier 1 & 2 UK contractors, developers across the South Coast, Southern Home Counties and London.

The Role

Reporting in to Directors you will be responsible for acting as the conduit between the client, factory, Site Foreman and client. Operating in a quality and snagging capacity to ensure only the highest quality product is signed off by client or the NHBC on self delivery schemes. Your role will include but not be limited to:

* Carrying out quality inspections on various developments and projects across the South East ensuring the product and construction process meets agreed specification.
* Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders regarding progress, defects ensuring a professional service is delivered to clients.
* Play a key role carrying out health & safety spot checks to make sure work is being delivered in line with the company policies and procedures.
* Create detailed reports of findings upon inspections and provide progress updates to all stakeholders.
* Ensure all works undertaken are defect free prior final inspection and client handover.

About You

* You will have gained circa 2+ years experience, ideally working for a developer, consultancy or home guarantees provider.
* Extensive knowledge about timber frame construction is essential and key to a successful application.
* Sound knowledge of building regulations, NHBC standards and Health & Safety regulations is essential.
* Proactive, assertive and confident individual that can take ownership for their work and prioritise their time.
* Be able to create detailed reports as well as coordinate trades for corrective works.
* Display excellent interpersonal skills.
* Focused on service delivery, progress, safety and building customer relationships.
* Have the correct CITB qualification for the position i.e. CSCS Visitors or Supervisory/Management Card.
* Flexible and happy to commute as the role will involve travelling across the country.
