We are lookingfor a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to join the existing team. Cosma Casting UK willspecialise in high pressure die-casting that designs and builds medium to large aluminium die-castautomotive components.Position Summary:Reporting to the Maintenance and Facilities Manager, this position is responsible for the overall maintenance of plant equipment and facilities ensuring the smooth running of the plant and limit impact on customer demand. The Technician should engage daily in design meetings to promote a continuous improvement in machine availability.Hours of work:3 shift rotating bases (6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm and 10pm to 6am)37.5 working hours per week.Role Responsibilities:This role entails but is not limited to:To ensure equipment availability is in line with departmental targetsTo engage in Root cause analysis of repeat / major breakdowns and provide reports with suggested improvementsTo engineer out previous issues following a continuous improvement mind-set & methodologyTo facilitate the PM schedules and make recommendations for improvementTo support the internal customers with technical issues Inc. non-breakdownTo ensure Health, Safety and Environmental procedures are followed during maintenance activitiesTo maintain and improve the equipment so quality is built inAttend training when required and adhere to CCUK and Magna standardsTo apply 5S methodology in work area and wider factoryTo align to departmental and company goalsTo support management with ad-hoc projects as and when requiredPromote the companies HSE policies across the department and plant and adhere to all Health and Safety Environmental requirementsKey Qualifications/Requirements:Essential-Time served apprentice in Mechanical or electrical Engineering or equivalentMinimum C & G craft qualification / NVQ level 3 qualification in related discipline or equivalentWillingness to multi- skillExperience working with ABB robotsExperience in fault finding from electrical schematicsExperience in fault finding from hydraulic & pneumatic schematicsGood Microsoft package ( especially: word, excel)To be able to communicate technical issues to non-technical staff5's experienceDesirable-Qualification in both electrical & mechanical disciplineEducated to HNC/HND in related disciplineExperience within the Castings sectorHealth and Safety accreditation.Experience of Tier 1 Automotive supplyPersonal Attributes:Good problem solving skillsTeam player and promotes a team approach to problem solvingConfidence to challenge the status quoTarget drivenWork collaboratively to achieve project/company goalsAbility to work in a fast paced environmentGood communicator both written and verbalAbility to work under pressureOrganised and able to multi-taskProactive in approach with a "can do attitude"Flexibility to travel overseas infrequentlyEiligibility to work in the UKWork Environment:Plant conditions necessitate exposure to heat, cold, dust, hot objects, and loud noises within our manufacturing environment.
