Are you looking to pursue a career in insurance? Do you have a good eye for detail and the ability to work on own initiative? If so, this role could be the perfect next step for you - our Client, a leading provider of business process management and professional services, is seeking a hard working and enthusiastic individual to join their Insurance Services division as a Trainee Insurance Technician.

As Assistant Technician you will be responsible for providing back office administration and underwriting services within the insurance industry. This is an excellent entry level opportunity towards a career in Insurance, with structured progression and educational sponsorship, working towards your Certificate in Insurance from the Charter Institute of Insurance (CII).

Responsibilities



* Data entry onto Client Systems - this will be across a variety of different types of high volume and niche insurance policies
* Interpreting data from a variety of insurance documents including policies, endorsements, quotes and schedules across different types of insurance business
* Review documents containing the data and cleanse it to a required level using a variety of methods such as internet search engines
* Analyse technical data and calculate transactions - to include currency conversions, calculating premiums and calculating commission
* Receiving insurance information in Microsoft Excel and preparing it for processing - filling in any gaps, identifying errors, interpreting and reorganising data

Key Skills & Experience



* Excellent communication skills
* 5 GCSE's Minimum - Must include Maths & English
* Good general computer skills, such as email and Microsoft Office
* Good Keyboard skills - able to type accurately and quickly
* A keen eye for detail with the ability to spot mistakes
* Ability to work independently towards targets - on your own initiative whilst also contributing to the teams success
* Willingness to commit to your career within Insurance - this role is not suitable for someone looking for a stop gap or short term opportunity - this role will be offering excellent educational and training opportunities in Insurance so it is vital this is a career you want to continue in.
