Cosma Casting UK has established a manufacturing facility on a greenfield site in Telford in the
UK. For this new venture, we are looking for Weekend Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technicians. Cosma
Casting UK will specialise in high pressure die-casting that designs and builds medium to large
aluminium die-cast automotive components.

Weekend Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician

Duration: Permanent

Shift : 6am - 6pm Saturday and Sunday (including bank holidays)

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Maintenance and Facilities Manager this position is responsible for
the overall maintenance of plant equipment and facilities ensuring the smooth running of the
plant and limit impact on customer demand. The Technician should engage daily in design
meetings to promote continuous improvement in machine availability.

Role Responsibilities:
- To ensure equipment availability is in line with departmental targets
- To engage in Root cause analysis of repeat / major breakdowns and provide reports with
suggested improvements
- To engineer out previous issues following a continuous improvement mind-set &
- To facilitate the PM schedules and make recommendations for improvement
- To support the internal customers with technical issues Inc. non-breakdown
- To ensure Health, Safety and Environmental procedures are followed during maintenance
- To maintain and improve the equipment so quality is built in
- Attend training when required and adhere to CCUK and Magna standards
- To apply 5S methodology in work area and wider factory
- To align to departmental and company goals
- To support management with ad-hoc projects as and when required


- Apprenticeship trained in Mechanical
or electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Qualification in both electrical &
mechanical discipline
- Educated to HNC/HND in related

- Minimum C & G craft qualification /NVQ level 3 qualification in related
discipline or equivalent
- Willingness to multi- skill
- Experience working with ABB robots
- Experience in fault finding from
electrical schematics
- Experience in fault finding from
hydraulic & pneumatic schematics
- Good Microsoft package ( especially:
word, excel)
- To be able to communicate technical
issues to non-technical staff
- 5's experience
- Experience within the Castings sector
- Health and Safety accreditation.
- Experience of Tier 1 Automotive supply
