Randstad Education is looking to appoint a Year 3/4 Teacher to join a Good-rated Primary school in the Wakefield area.

Requirements:



* Must hold QTS certification
* Must have proven experience of teaching in a Key Stage 1 or 2 Year Group
* Must be able to demonstrate the ability to build strong, effective relationships with pupils and staff.

The role will be to start as soon as possible and will be full time.

The role will include the following duties:



* Creating and managing a caring, supportive, purposeful and stimulating environment which is conducive to children's learning
* Providing clear structures for lessons which maintain pace and motivation, and challenge students while ensuring high levels of interest
* Ensuring full coverage of the statutory curriculum- ensuring breadth and balance in all subjects, setting clear targets and building on prior attainment
* Identifying clear teaching objectives and learning outcomes, with appropriate challenges and high expectations set
* Maintaining good order and discipline among the pupils, safeguarding their health and safety through relevant policies and procedures
* Organising and managing groups and individual pupils, ensuring differentiation of learning needs which reflect all abilities, including SEN and more able and talented pupils
* Maintaining a regular system of monitoring, assessment, record-keeping and reporting of children's progress
* Ensuring effective use of support staff within the classroom, including parent helpers
* Participation in staff meetings as and when required
* Contribution to the development and coordination of a particular area of the curriculum
* Being part of a whole school team, actively involved in decision-making on the preparation and development of policies and programmes of study, teaching materials, resources, and methods of teaching
* Communicating and consulting with parents over all aspects of their children's education, academic, social and emotional needs
* Maintaining a commitment to professional development, keeping a portfolio of training undertaken
* Supporting the Headteacher in promoting the ethos of the school
