One of our primary schools in Haywards Heath is looking for a teaching assistant to join them from September to work in their year 6 classes. This role is 5 days a week, term time only and will be until July, with the possibility of it being extended for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

Helping prepare the classroom before lessons.
Supporting with classroom management.
Running intervention programmes for small groups or individual children.
Some assessments and evaluations on progress levels of learners.
Managing behaviour in all lessons and around school.
Working 1:1 with learners who need additional support.

All applicants for this position must have the following requirements to be considered:

Relevant teaching assistant experience.
Previous experience working with children with special needs or behaviour issues may be useful.
Be able to provide a professional child care reference.
Relevant knowledge of the current national curriculum.
Eligibility to work in the UK.
